Praying together for PEACE !

Let us send peace thoughts towards Ukraine, towards this part of Eastern Europe that is suffering today. Let’s hope for a very soon end of the violence and for Life winning over destructions. Let us pray for peace and calm in Ukraine and everywhere!

I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality… I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Lilacs” — The Peter and Gertrud Klopp Family – for Peace

“Lilacs” — The Peter and Gertrud Klopp Family

Dear readers, I am sharing a post of fellow blogger Peter Klopp, as a solidarity for the people of Ukraine who are now suffering because of the lack of respect and civilisation from the Russian neighbour. It goes without saying that I, as a citizen on this planet and as a human being, totally condemn this attacks… I don’t have friends in Ukraine yet but I know how it was in my country and the countries of my friends from Eastern Europe when the Communists came and seemed that did not want to leave…They did not just come for a walk, they destroyed places and killed people for no reason…The Nazis did the same….But I am also wondering, like mr. Klopp’s father, when our and everyone’s rulers will stop KILLING & DESTROYING JUST FOR PUTTING MORE MONEY OR POWER IN THEIR POCKETS? We are already in 2022……and still in many civilised places, democracy does not exist.

Take care of yourselves and remember the song “Let it be” whenever you may be!

The Wednesday thought – Humour :)

Hello everyone! I hope you’ll enjoy reading this post. As another useful word came to my mind these days, I thought this was a sign for a new post here. It will make you smile but, most important, if you keep it in your life, it could very well give you another level to reach a happy and long life. Hm, what is that? This word is HUMOUR.

I think this aspect is equally important and, using it as often as possible, it will strenghten your immunity and make you see things from a different perspective, a wiser one. We don’t need to exaggerate and say you should laugh at a funeral…but we all know laughing helps the heart and you’ll not go to funerals every day.

The secret lies in the style with which you react to things, situations, people; there can be people whose bad feelings or negativity could try to reach to you, intentionally or not. But your HUMOUR will be your secret weapon to protect yourself. Or if your boss gives you a ‘slap’ by criticizing you for no reason, again mr. HUMOUR will help you imagine him being chased by Japanese single women who want to marry him…For sure, HUMOUR sometimes needs also imagination and I’m sure you are not lacking that either.

A few thoughts about HUMOUR below that can match hopefully many tastes:

“Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not; a sense of humor to console him for what he is.” Francis Bacon

‘Twill help you all along the way,
An’ cheer you mile by mile;
An’ so, whatever is your lot,
Jes’ smile, an’ smile, an’ smile.
Author Unknown, Smile

“My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness. Continue to allow humor to lighten the burden of your tender heart.” Maya Angelou

“In scientists’ opinion, good humor is able to extend human life by 7 and even more years. And this applies even to people whose health is not perfect, in general. Such is the ‘magic’ of good humor, the scientists say.” Vanessa Angel, You Live the Life You Want to Live

“Good humor is one of the preservatives of our peace and tranquility.” Thomas Jefferson

Humor is mankind’s greatest blessing. Mark Twain

You are not angry with people when you laugh at them. Humor teaches tolerance. W. Somerset Maugham

It’s your outlook on life that counts. If you take yourself lightly and don’t take yourself too seriously, pretty soon you can find the humor in our everyday lives. And sometimes it can be a lifesaver. Betty White

Try to find someone with a sense of humor. That’s an important thing to have because when you get into an argument, one of the best ways to diffuse it is to be funny. You don’t want to hide away from a point, because some points are serious, but you’d rather have a discussion that was a discussion, rather than an argument. Ed Sheeran

I choose my actors well and get to know the quirks of their personalities – and, most of all, I share humor with them. Then I keep my eyes open when they rehearse and perform, because you never know where the next stimulation comes from. George Cukor

A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor’s book. ~Irish Proverb

Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face. ~Victor Hugo

„ Humour is a force. Nothing can unite people better than laughter” — Lev Tolstoi

Nicolae Iorga: Good words, smile and good deeds are sunshine rays mirrored in the human heart

Arsenie Papacioc: Learn to have always a smile hidden in your heart.

The doctor has told me that I have six more months to live. The moment I told him I could not pay the invoice, he gave me six more months to live. Walter John Matthau

Who does not have a sese of humour can be serious but never intelligent.  Vasile Ghica

You shall see in many situations that it is not exactly humour that comes to your spirit, it can be joy, it can be just a smile or a strong laughter; in any case always remember to keep that inner humour vibes in your heart. I also have the hope that the funny photo I have chosen for this little post can bring you a bit of laughter.

Keep also joy in your heart, be this humour, happiness or positivity and offer it also to others. Celebrate every little or big success and share good jokes with others. Remember always that a smile can open doors that words cannot. Stay healthy, joyful and smileeee to life!

The Wednesday thought

Courage to go up!

Hello again with positive vibes! I have chosen another word for you, taken from my life experience and from everything I have seen so far. Many of the people I know, in my home country but not only, have a certain degree of fear. They stay in the same job for years, even if they like it or not; they remain in relationships based on fear and not on happiness, as they are afraid to take a small risk and find maybe the right person or just to eliminate what does not bring them happiness, health or good vibes. Too many people live with a constant fear or worry and the choices that they make are not supporting their real happiness. So, my word is Courage.

This does not mean to take out your sword and attack anything that looks like an enemy. It means that sometimes you need Courage to clean up a bit your life and reassess your values or just follow what makes you happy. Of course, it is not comfortable and it is a risk. But do like me – take a small risk, after you are sure that it is the best choice. You are always backed up by your guardian angel so whatever you do, you are not alone. Keep the faith and remember that you have the right to be happy, to have what you deserve in your career or the best health; if you feel that something is missing, think, analyse and try to see some ways through which you could improve your life-segment that needs help.

Keep Courage in your heart and rememeber that what is coming is better than what was going. Faith and courage will support you in getting the life you deserve – the right partner, the best job, the perfect health, true friends or everything else that is not quite right in your life. Your eyes should stay wide open and try to force yourself to have positive thoughts – you attract what you think of.

Have just the Courage to live well and know your value; this way, everything else will just fit like in a puzzle. Good luck and ”bon courage”!

The Wednesday thought

Hello again everyone! This time I was thinking of a word that is inspired by Spring and everything it means to me, in nature, in society (traditions, celebrations) or individually. That is why I would choose the word Light.

Be it the sunlight or a spiritual light, we need it in our lives, especially when we may find ourselves in the dark. It is always on the cloudiest days that we realise how much we need the sunlight. It goes the same with our life. We are all flowers that need light to live, physically and emotionally.

Sometimes we look for it in photos, to catch an amazing angle and photograph the beauty of a place in sunlight. Other times, we find ourselves in a greyish context and we strive to go back to the right path, to the light. Wherever we may be, we should keep the benefit of walking in the light, in strength and force. Or we can just watch how a simple seed that we put in the soil flourishes thanks to light and water – just like a miracle.

Whichever moment you may be in, keep the light with you – on your desk when you write, in the kitchen when you cook, in your heart when you think and plan your life – and your whole life will be an expression of good, ripe crops and happiness. Share also your own Light with those you love and be grateful thus to enjoy a love that will last forever.

May the light and health of this spring guide you on the best path for this whole year!

The Wednesday thought – LIFE

Good day dear readers! I hope my post finds you in good health. Today I choose another word we can all think about, the deeper, the better. This word is ”Life”. It is an old and well-known word and we all have one but very few take time, even a little, to think if they really cherish it as they should – theirs and also the life of others.

Life is precious, essential and yet, fragile. I decided to use Life as the word of my small essay today because of a recent experience. I was on the way to a nice place where, together with my family, we wished to visit some historical heritage spots and enjoy some sunshine. On the road leading to the town that was our destination, on a bridge road, there was a blockage. I thought it is just something small, insignificant. But I had the bad idea of looking through the car when we got close and there was someone lying on a side of this upper road with blood around and some para-medics already trying the life-saving maneuvers. My good humour decreased to 0 in one second and I could only say a quick prayer that they manage to save that person. That person was riding a motorbike and who knows whose fault it was…Unfortunately, later, on the radio, in the news they reported that that person died.

I wish not to ruin your positive mood but I tell you like I would tell my family – LIFE is extremely precious and fragile, do not put it to risk anymore! Without Life, without health & safety, we have nothing. Life gives us the freedom for everything. I think you know enough about this for sure but with every sunrise or sunset, take extra 5min. to meditate and focus on yourselves – thank God or whoever for all the good in your Life and say ”forgive me” towards those to whom maybe you did something wrong. Be happy for your Life and for everything you have- non-physical, mental, physical, etc. Cleaning up a bit your mind and reminding yourself about the important things is a good self-awareness exercise that I also try to do as often as I can. Now, in this epidemy-situation, our freedom is limited but you can do a lot even at home, in your balcony, in your building/house outer space. Stay emotionally-fit and healthy and put a bigger value on your Life, day by day; respect yourselves and do not tolerate a lack of respect towards you from anyone. The fact that you live is the biggest proof of God’s/Buddha’s/etc., parents’ and remaining family’s love for you and everything you mean or represent.

As this is starting to get long and many of you, to whom I send my best thoughts of health and happiness for the special Catholic Easter days, can have Easter eggs waiting to be coloured, eaten or decorated, I shall try to finish my little story with thoughts on Life. Honour your LIFE, be grateful to those who created you spiritually & physically, take good care of your health, feed yourselves with natural stuff, sleep enough, work for ethical people/ organisations, keep music in your life – do whatever you do, but always remembering that your LIFE is precious, that is divine and amazing and take care of it! Lots of love & good thoughts from your friend, Josephina 🙂 🙂

P.S. Maybe the photo can inspire you – it is a magical spot on the island of Thassos, Greece.

The Wednesday thought

This time of the year, in the middle of autumn, seeing how everything slowly changes towards the cold season, I could not help noticing a multitude of colours everywhere. Starting from the Danube and advancing towards the hilly areas, Nature has prepared everything with perfection.

So the word chosen this time is Beauty; I admit that I’ve never liked autumn and winter as I love spring and summer through all the beauties that surround me, especially flowers. But I’ve noticed along the years how autumn and winter, although colder and less sunny, have also their own Beauty. The same goes with people; no matter how beautiful/handsome a person is on the outside or not, there is always something of Beauty to discover inside them. We need just to take a bit more time and empathy to see the Beauty in others, too. So please do not limit my small presentation here just to outside Beauty but to all types of beauty, with the condition that it is doubled for people by inside Beauty, in my opinion. As this state of things is essentially a positive trait of people and things, I wish all of you to forever attract to yourselves the inner Beauty of all people and every possible Beauty of the surrounding natural world!

The World Bees Day !

Maybe not all of you know, but 20 May is the world day of the bees. So I wanted to dedicate this lines to them as I am very grateful they exist. I also wish that they continue to live in Europe and beyond; without them we wouldn’t have many vegetables, flowers and fruits.

rose-bee.jpg

I would hope that you will read this and that, maybe, you can do something for them; it takes 10 minutes to plant a small flower in a pot in your balcony, the yellow ones are attracting most of the bees. Or you can also buy a pot of good honey from your local producers; yes, I know it is more expensive but you are doing so much with a bit of extra money – help your health with some good quality honey, help the local honey producers and, most of all, help the bees in your region live, work and survive. And, through this, you also help your family, friends to have a healthier life.

Also, use with trust all their products to improve and maintain your immunity and health (pollen, honey, mother bee milk, beeswax); for who has babies, remember that you can also mix in their meals, starting from 12 months/ 1 year old, pollen or honey.

You have here lots of information about the bees in different countries:

I hope they will be much better from now on and that they continue to help us staying healthy and enjoy the fruit of their work – the perfumed & golden liquid that has been the center of human activities since immemorial times. And yes, please use no chemicals in your daily activities to keep also our air & water healthy; thank you everyone !
