Hello again from the virus-free seaside ! Spring in seascape areas is something completely magical. Trees are still in bloom and the sea water is coldish; the beaches are empty and you feel like the king of the sea. Sunny days are great and that specific iodine air is filling your lungs with the powerful healthy energy of the sea. What can you wish for more?
You may run into wild geese, lazy cats or dogs, seagulls, swallows or even little fish in the waves that are welcoming you naturally in their environment, still calm in May. Simple moments of life which become amazing when you realise that you are the only spectator.
There are algae here and there and so many shiny stones and shells that you feel you’re walking on some beaches in Greece; the healthy sea smell is reaching your nose and you see a little bar where they prepare the famous ”hamsii” 🙂 you cannot be wrong, this is the Black Sea, the amazing, calm and relaxing seaside of Eastern Europe.
And there is a lost person walking somewhere further thinking about you as ”another crazy tourist” when they see you alone on the sand…. But you don’t care at all, you are the master of the seaside, everything is all yours! The sunshine is perfect, the sand is fine like face powder, the sea boasts some amazing shades of turquoise, dark blue and grey and you decide to taste the famous ”hamsii”. Houuh, the wind is blowing with strength and your hat is running away 🙂 🙂
Wow, some trees are still in bloom and it feels that spring still has a long way to go; but it has got warm enough for one good icecream! Some waves grow bigger and bigger and there is a nice beach corner where you can eat the icecream in calm; hopefully the lazy cat will not disturb you. Take some photos before the wind starts again to blow. This moment is perfect, a blend of spring and summer, a mixture of land and water and a combination of happiness and melancholy – breathe in this air, fill your lungs with the sea salty particles, add some more joy and love in your heart and may these seaside impressions bring you positive energies for the whole year!
I hope all of you are well and, despite the epidemy, enjoying safely this summer.
I have selected some of my summer moments to share with you and even give some ideas in case you also postpone travelling by plane, favouring more the car this year. Budapest in summer can be nice, especially thanks to the Danube that offers many nice spots, little islands and even more isolated tourist spots where you don’t risk to run into big crowds of people (Margaret island, Szentendre, Buda hills and panorama spots).

And in order to create tasty memories, Budapest offers you many sweet shops (Cukraszda, Fagylaltozo, Edessegbolt, Pekseg) where you can find cakes, icecream, slices of torta (similar to the birthday cake), sweet pastries, mouse-like desserts, fruit salads) so you can taste each time something different.
Another nice discovery is the small town of Passau, in Germany which offers many places to enjoy in the sunshine – especially in the old centre.
If you have time to go a bit further (or closer, depending or where you live), Balchik is also a charming seaside resort where you can find everything that you need, pleasant hotels with good prices (Antik, Queen Maria, Los Dos Gallos), relaxing landscape and very nice people.

So stay healthy and give a chance to low-level tourism, you could discover things you may like for the rest of your lives! Have still a nice summer 🙂
A Happy New Year 2020 to everyone with amazing health, joy, success in all your plans and resolutions and happiness day by day!!!
Accompanying this short 2020 post, a small photo from Bulgaria is meant to bring you light, seaside fragrance, peace, hope and trust for your present and future. This zen spot is located on the border of the Black Sea, in a little resort which is charming and quiet. I wish to keep its name secret but who can travel along the coast of this sea, they can discover this one and many other infinite spots from the north side, near the Danube Delta, in Romania, till the south of Bulgaria, around Nessebar or further.
Va urez tuturor Un An Nou Fericit 2020 cu sanatate excelenta, bucurii, succes in toate planurile si rezolutiile voastre si fericire pentru fiecare zi!
Maybe you are also often dreaming of summer, more often in winter…or maybe not. I think it is not only the craziness of seaside/ocean coast holidays or the obsession to get a sexy tan that is important. I guess that the unique summer spirit is that one we have when we hear seagulls fly over our heads, when that amazing Italian ice-cream from Matera is melting on our nose..or when that summer smile of a girl/boy we like is closer than we imagined… I think Summer is a state of mind, is a love for nature in its peak beauty, a stronger desire to connect with everything around or just a magical sensation that we are eternal, be it only for three months, if we count time from the Terra point of view. Otherwise, Einstein is right – Time is an illusion. But Summer no, it has never been an illusion; it is just the personification of our most joyful dreams. The photo is mine and I leave it to you to guess where I have taken it 🙂 Happy Daydreaming !
Altfel, Einstein are dreptate- Timpul este o iluzie. Insa Vara nu, nu a fost niciodata o iluzie, este doar personificarea viselor noastre. Poza am facut-o undeva, langa o mare si va las sa ghiciti unde 🙂 Visati cu ochii deschisi!
the perfect dedication (sorry, it’s in Romanian, but it’s amazing) – is about the funny story of a guy who works like all of us in an office every week and is tired of the city-life…So he proposes to his friends&everyone to move at the seaside, coming up with funny ideas 🙂
Somebody I appreciate a lot likes to write stories so I will publish here, step by step, a short story, written in French in the years 2000. I hope you will like it. This is the first episode 🙂
