One world day for bees

trees for bees 21mai

20 May is the world day dedicated to bees; you must remember this from my 2019 post.

I hope that everyone has started to appreciate more the bee products and be more attentive towards bees in general, as they are an important part in our lives.

Honey is well-known for its many benefits, so try to include it in your diet:

**  it reinforces the immunity

** it helps you to sleep better

** it improves your memory skills

**it nourishes skin and face (useful to be put in masks)

**it boosts your energy levels

**it strengthens the gum health

**it diminishes sinus problems and coughing issues

**it can be used to heal wounds (like aloe)

Besides these, there are still many so we could consider it a super-food (thanks Jamie Oliver!). I would advise everyone to try and use it fresh than cooked so as to keep all its content of vitamins.

For those who are interested in using honey also differently, here are some ideas; I am suggesting some healthy recipes but you can also ”travel” on the site and discover more original ideas with honey:

All the girls know that honey is also magical in cosmetics; I’be tried recently several products with honey content and I’ve been really happy with a hydrating lipstick containing honey. In general, products with natural extracts are much better for us when we talk about cosmetics as ur skin absorbs a lot from everything we apply on it.

Stay healthy, stay wise, respect the bees and not only! Lots of health for you 🙂 😉

Earth Day, William Shakespeare, Simona Halep

la castelul Ansembourg

As 22nd of April is Earth Day, I try every year to do something for the Earth on this day. This year,  I have planted a raspberry bush and tried to help for some good ecological causes.

Here is an article in Romanian for everyone from home who is interested in knowing more plastic packages and doing something to reduce it, received from ‘Zero waste Romania’:

https://www.prwave.ro/studiu-ambalajele-din-plastic-nu-previn-risipa-alimentara/

Also, the bees everywhere in Europe and in the world need our help; you can read another article in French and decide if you can also help with a few dollars these people: ‘Le 27 avril, les gouvernements de l’UE se prononceront sur l’interdiction d’un certain nombre de pesticides néonicotinoïdes et c’est l’avenir des abeilles qui est en jeu. You can donate something here:

For those interested in the current situation concerning the bees populations in Europe, you can also read this in:

Also, WWF Australia is trying to teach and get support from people all over the world, in order to support the koalas, well-known species currently endangered; if you have some time to spare, read and help in any way, please have a look at their stories here:
                                      http://www.wwf.org.au/get-involved/save-koalas

Last but not least, little things help: turn off the lights/computers/smartphones/cooker/air conditioned when you do not need them, plant some colourful flowers in your balcony/garden to help the bees, reuse the water in which you wash fruits/veggies for watering plants, recycle plastics/papers/glass/batteries/light bulbs and eat less meat; just remember that we are not the masters of everything and every being on Earth so we should not be selfish. This planet is here for all and we should not take everything around for granted.

Another interesting thing, with no connection with those written above – 23rd April is the birthday of a famous English playwright, William Shakespeare that stressed all of us in school :):) Still, I think he was a nice and smart guy… and very romantic; here is something he said, to help you look for what is essential and important in relationships of any kind today so that you will only have happy and positive experiences:
‘What’s in a name? / that which we call a rose,
By any other name/ would smell as sweet.’      And I wrote this from memory 😉

And as I felt happy about the news, something from tennis again, congratulations to Simona Halep and our girls who were amazingly wonder women in the Fed Cup matches during  last week-end. I hope that after their victory, they found a bit of time to relax and recuperate their energies. Here is what Simona said after the victory:

Let’s save our bees! Sa salvam albinele!

albinuta pe trandafir, RoI

I don’t know if you all know or if you care, but the European populations of bees are in danger for many years already.

The intensive agriculture, the use of pesticides, the legal or illegal cutting of trees or destroying of forests or fields, etc. have brought about the death of many generations of bees. these small amazing insects are doing many invisible tasks, without which our life on Earth would be much worse. They are in charge with all the ‘production’ of fruits and vegetables as they manage the pollen and thus, most of the flora species in Europe and the world. Not to say how useful and healthy are the results of their work – mainly honey, pollen, mother bee milk and the others also. If you want to help, please sign this petition:                              https://www.petitieonline.com/emb/175736

(it is in Romanian but in order, the empty spaces ask for your: surname, name, town, country, email and reason for signing-the big empty space).
